This issue of the journal Cognition, communication, discourse offers results of philologic and translation interdisciplinary studies of English, Ukrainian and other languages with a special focus on their cognitive, pragmatic, philosophic, functional, and sociocultural analysis. The researchers are underpinned by the cognitive, pragmatic, cultural, and integrative cognitive-pragmatic approaches to modern and historical material. This issue brings together linguists from different regions of Ukraine and Lithuania who suggest innovative approaches to the analysis of cognitive-pragmatic, sociocultural, and related characteristics of discourses of fiction and politics in linguistic and translation perspectives.
